History

Incorporated in Brisbane in 1997, Darren Dickfos Architects was formed to provide a personalized design expertise, with particular emphasis placed on value‐for‐money professional architectural and interior design services. Since that time, DDA has played an integral role in the design and redevelopment of many projects of varying use and scale, with multiple projects recognized by the QHA and our clients receiving design awards from Clubs Queensland. Director, Darren Dickfos, has over 36 years experience in Masterplanning, Architecture and Interior Design and is personally involved in all projects. DDA includes a team of highly skilled and creative staff who offer a fresh approach, an open mind and an absolute and total dedication to their client’s satisfaction. This includes efficient economical and cost effective solutions to design problems. DDA’s involvement in projects has ranged from new construction to major & minor refurbishments of a large number of Hospitality & Gaming, Retail, Commercial, Residential and Community projects giving Darren Dickfos Architects an enviable background of experience in a wide variety of projects. Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Applied Science (Built Environment)
- Graduate Diploma in Architecture
- Registered Architect No. 2152
- Member of Australian Institute of Architects (Membership No. 13485)

Over the past 36 years of his professional career, Darren has specialized in master planning and interior design on major projects ranging in scope from club redevelopments such as the Beenleigh Sports Club, Redcliffe Golf Club and Victoria Point Sharks Sporting Club to Suburban Taverns, Hotel Redevelopments and Boutique Gaming Rooms such as the Beerwah Hotel, Broadbeach Tavern and Gem Hotel.

Darren has travelled to the USA, Europe and Asia to inspect hospitality and gaming venues and has brought back refreshing new concepts which are now being incorporated into local establishments.

Darren’s experience in bar, kitchen and TAB fit outs is extensive and he works closely with the client and end users to ensure efficient design and functionality are achieved.

Attention to detail and hands on involvement during the construction process are a continuing part of Darren’s day to day activities as a Director of DDA.

Since forming DDA in 1997, Darren has broadened his project experience by forming strategic alliances with key movers in the Retail Liquor Industry and Developers in Multi-residential Projects. This has led to a broad range of projects now being produced by DDA.
