2017 QHA AWARD FOR BEST CASUAL DINING
Anyone who has been to the Mount Isa Rodeo will know this pub. Forever linked to this iconic event, DDA used this theme to enhance the Rodeo Bar’s dining and socialising reputation.
Using raw railway sleeper cladding to the walls, industrial copper pendants, crocodile skin upholstery and a specifically devised carpet reminiscent of the desert, the Rodeo Bar is a reflection of the town’s tough, hardworking environment. Rodeo theming was also used on the walls and the ‘cowboy/cowgirl’ toilet doors are a particularly quirky addition.
Construction cost: $251,000
